.OSA | NK - Online Self-Assessment of Sustainability Skills
Timeline
April 01. 2023 – March 31. 2026
Project Description
Education for sustainable development aims to equip students with essential sustainability skills. However, there is a shortage of reliable and valid assessments for these skills. Existing measurement instruments are often specific to individual courses and rely on self-reported (changes in) attitudes, behaviors, and knowledge about sustainability. This project addresses this gap by developing the Online Self-Assessment Tool for Sustainability Competencies (OSA|NK). This tool allows higher education students to evaluate their attitudes, behaviors, and knowledge related to sustainability. Key milestones of this project include: (1) conducting a needs analysis to identify key target groups among students and lecturers who can benefit from the assessment and (2) performing psychometric analyses to ensure the reliability and validity of the developed assessment.
